Event report

Pix vol.2

On November 2nd, at Harajuku EX'REALM, "PIX vol.2" was held. This time there were four projectors set up and VJ's visuals were cast onto the four huge screens which was the highlight of the event. Same as the last "PIX", full sets of VJ machines were eye-catching to many turnouts.
Having the guests performers from abroad, there were quite a few foreign people coming to the event.

Just past 19:15, the event started. DJ was the one same as previous event, Share the Fantasy. The first VJ was "clink!clank!", this time four members performed. As usual, they seemed really enjoying their VJing with perfectly switching each member's visuals.
The next performed "Taro Hino(salcon graphics)". His distinguished play style of mixing cool visuals sometimes with game-like visuals was just in good shape.
The next VJ "ecran" was also popping beautiful visuals onto the screens which matched to the music excellently.

Following was the special guest for this time, "Twine with pecial Guest Mark Amerika" came on. As a famous Internet artist, what would Prof. Mark Amerika be going to show us was anyone's great anticipation. Fullfilling everyone's anticipation, the visuals developed onto the screen were the works of great individuality and also very artistic which completely impressed the audience. Along with the background music with unbalanced rhythms, various images were developed at high speed. That didn't give us any impression of diffusion, but perfectly synchronized with the music. Although it was in the club space, watching his performance made me feel being in the modern art exibition.

After the performance of Prof. Mark Amerika, it came "TomoGrapher"'s turn. DJ also changed to the special guest of the night, "Gravity Terminal". It was concerned that their music style with strong beats and not much sticking out development would be hard for VJ to play along. However, as a matter of fact, TomoGrapher could easily manage their visuals in synchronicity with the music. The final VJ was Yoshiaki Nakaichi. He accomplished the finale with his exquisite visuals with some recorded footages well brought in.

For this time, perfoming VJs hadn't changed much from that of the previous event and it hadn't been long since the last one, so it seemed lack of brand new visuals. However, as usual there were not a few occasions that with high quality techniques and sense of synchronizing with music our eyes were captured to the visuals.
In spite of long three hour event, with the cutting edge visuals of the special guest, the rich variety of visuals fulfilled the audience.
The time and place of the next event has not yet decided, but will soon be informed at this site. Probably it's going to be the one where you can dance. (hopefully)
